  • The dataset (TRMM 3B43) comprises monthly rainfall datas (mm/hr) acquired during the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) since 1998. The TRMM algorithm 3B42 provides adjusted 3-hour cumulative estimates of rain using merged microwave and infrared (IR) precipitation information.

  • Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The Guyadiv plan in Crique Plomb and Montagne Plomb sites implements several types of plots and sampling methods: A first group of plots belongs to the Paget's plan, initiated in 1998. These 30x40m-plots are used for floristic and structural inventories. Then, 8 1ha-plots are used for floristic inventories concerning trees with DBH>10cm, since 2002 (campaigns in 2002, 2004 and 2005). These plots are located on greatly contrasted forest facies (high-density forest on thinned soils, forest on dismantled ferricrust, forest on deap DVL soils). The third type of sampling method is a "cluster points" (points-grappe) plan for floristic linear inventories. 18 points have been carried out, that is to say almost 8500m or 10ha of statements (ca. 5500 trees). We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 600 meters in each direction.

  • The Paracou Research Station encompasses 5000 ha of tropical rain forest near Sinnamary, French Guiana, and is accessible by paved road. The site includes several types of forest plots, each with unique research objectives. Logging Plots: Fifteen nine-hectare plots (numberred 1 to 15) were established in 1984 to study the impact of different logging treatments on tropical tree population structure. This zone is reserved exclusively for studies investigating the impact of the different logging treatments on forest populations. Primary Forest Plot: A 25 hectare plot (no. 16) was established in 1991 for studies of undisturbed forest. Researchers whose interests are unrelated to the effects of logging treatments are encouraged to conduct their work in this plot. Clearcut Plot: a 6.25 ha plot (no. 17) was established in 1989 at a nearby reserve along the road to St. Elie to study the effects of clearcutting on tropical forest dynamics

  • Guyafor is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Paracou covers a 130,5ha area. It is composed of 16 plots, managed by CIRAD. 114373 trees are being followed since 1984. 30 campaignes of inventories have been made : every year since 1984.
