  • The “Inventaire Papetier” was conducted by the CTFT (Centre Technique Forestier Tropical became CIRAD in 1984) and ONF between 1972 and 1976. To assess the forest resources in French Guiana, the forest was divided in large blocks along the coast (4 blocks near St Laurent, 4 blocks near Kourou and Sinnamary, 6 southern of Cayenne). Within the blocks, the forest was inventoried in 25*200m plots placed every 200-400m on parallel lines separated by 1 to 3km. The DBH was measured in 10cm classes, starting at 10cm, 15cm, or 20cm.

  • Guyafor is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Acarouany (Javouhey) covers 6ha. It is composed of one plot, managed by CIRAD. 2872 trees are being followed. A first inventory campaign has been made in 2006, a second one in 2008, and a third one in 2012.

  • Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Rivière Grand Inini is composed of two 20x500m-plots. A complete inventory has been made in 1990 : 1266 trees with dbh>=10cm have been registrated. 621 species have been identified in the first plot and 639 in the second plot. 99,7% and 99, 4% of the registrated trees have been identified to the species level, respectively on each plot. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 500 meters in each direction.

  • Guyafor is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The Guyafor Database compiles coordinates of the 11 sites (Paracou, Bafog, Organabo, Risquetout, Montagne Tortue, Saut Lavilette, Acarouany (Javouhey), Montagne Plomb, Tibourou, Nouragues, Laussat) and their subdivisions of the guianese permanent plots network. Each site contains georeferenced trees, botanically identified and regularly measured (diameter) for varying periods, depending to the site. To have more informations about each site, please refer to the attached metadata sheets

  • Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Savane Roche Virginie is composed of three 1ha-plots. 3 complete inventories have been made in 2006, 2007 and 2008 : 1664 trees with dbh>=10cm have been registrated. 475, 507 and 657 species have been identified respectively to each plot. 97,9%, 99,2% and 98,4% of the inventoried trees have been identified to the species level. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 300 meters in each direction.

  • Guyafor is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Organabo covers a 25,5ha area. It is composed of 6 plots managed by ONF. 7279 trees are being followed since 1997. 9 campaignes of inventories have been made in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010.

  • Guyadiv is a network of forest inventory plots installed in French Guiana. In Paracou experimental station 2 sets of plots pertain to the Guyadiv network Transects (> 2cm dbh) Ten 20x250m-transects have been inventoried within ten larger experimental plots. In those plots all stems > 2cm dbh have been censused (mapped and identified to species level). Plots were measured twice (once between 1994-1998, and once in 2002) 3 transects in plots subjected to treatment 1 (commercial logging only, of trees of DBH>50cm between 1986 and 1988, on average 10 stems per ha) 3 transects in plots subjected to treatment 2 (commercial logging as treatment 1 + thinning by poison-girdling of all non-commercial species of DBH≥40cm between 1986 and 1988) 3 transects in control plots (without treatments) 1 transect in plots subjected to treatment 3 (commercial logging + logging for fuelwood of all non-commercial treed of DBH between 40 and 50 cm + thinning of trees of more than 50cm DBH between 1986 and 1988) In addition 10 0.5 ha plots within the Guyaflux foot print have been set-up in which all trees > 10cm dbh have been inventoried.

  • The site Camp Caïman is composed of four 3km-transects (20m wide). 4018 trees with dbh>=20cm have been recorded by Office National des Forêts (ONF). Fauna inventories have been made by Office national de la chasse et de la faune sauvage (ONCFS) few days after. There is no inventory of under-storey plants on this site. Soils have been described using 10 samples (1.20m depth max.). No laboratory analysis available for soils.

  • Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Matiti have been set up by Marie-Françoise Prévost and Pierre Grenand. It is composed of one 20x4000m-plot. An incomplete inventory has been made on the pool of trees with dbh>=10cm in 2001 : 497 trees have been registrated. 442 species have been identified and 88,9% of the registrated trees have been identified to the species level. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plot. In order to calculate the bounding box for the plot, we have expanded the point location 500 meters in each direction.

  • The site Crique Grillon is composed of two 3km-transects (20m wide). 1959 trees with dbh>=20cm have been recorded by Office national des forêts (ONF). No fauna inventories. No under-storey plants inventory. Soils have been described using 8 samples (1.20m depth max.). No laboratory analysis available for soils.
